‘RPM-1200’ by Chu Enoki

Simply amazing, an entire futuristic city scape made entirely out of drill bits!

Wish I had seen this earlier< would have loved to have done something as inticate as this.

LI like the way all the all the drill bits have been carefully placed together, but with dim lighting to give an eerie and haunting  mood.

FMP Proposal

Background
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For some time I have had a deep and genuine interest in architecture. It could have quite possibly have been my ‘career’ route, Had it not been for my dislike at the idea of having to do a couple more years of physics and maths at A level.

A fan of sci-fi and general human development and social commentary, I’m interesting in developments in the modern world. Initially this FMP started off little more than that, my opportunity to play around with sci-fi fantasies. However, my research and contemplation led me take a much deeper turn.

Research
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The following areas will greatly influence my project.

* Science fiction
* Architecture History + General Art History (particularly Futurism)
* Human Nature
* Modern Ideologies

Development
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Technological, medical and other scientific advances are often attributed to changing landscapes and architectural progress. I disagree, I believe that architectural design and ‘progress’ is influenced (as is much else) primarily by human ideology and nature.

I am especially intrigued by how most architecture embodies ambition and aspiration, overtime it falls at decays partially due to weaknesses that we don’t control but also due to human nature.

I have envisaged my final piece as being along the lines of clean cut 3D white buildings pieced together with dull, decayed or messy 2D representations of Human Nature.

Deliverables
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 3D Installation – Reflecting aspirations and ambition undercut by negative human nature.

Series of prints – Reflecting human nature

Sketchbook – Analysed research as well as wide-ranging development and experimental work.
